“Popular tour, so expect crowds, less crowded in late afternoon when we arrived at 3. Two hours is plenty of time to wander around the monastic city and walk to the upper lake. Our driver Alex shared a lot of Dublin and Ireland history during our ride, but once you step off the bus you are on your own, which was fine with me. There are bathrooms, food trucks, visitor center, and souvenir shops upon arrival. Our visit was in fall and the fall colors were beautiful. Great way to spend a couple hours away from the hustle bustle of Dublin.”
