“I really enjoyed this tour. Blarney castle was beautiful and we were quickly able to climb to the top. I loved the Titanic tour. We’re able to learn so much more about this last port of call as well as some history on the passengers. Only thing I wished we were able to do was capture the same photo of the colorful houses and cathedral behind it. Our driver took us in a different direction. Prepare yourself for a long train ride though.”

“Absolutely loved this trip. Beautiful scenery with some awesome little stops along the way. Loved our stop in Kerry Bog village and even got to watch a sheep dog performance. John and Sheila were fantastic as our tour guide and driver respectively. John even helped our girls get a cultural exchange by arranging for them to ride the train with some local Irish kids. Probably the best tour we went on during our time in Ireland.”

This is worth it for a first time traveler to Ireland because I feel like you get the most out of your trip. You don't have to worry about driving and you can enjoy the scenery. “Our guide, John, got us to where we caught up with the tour bus and then joined a tour group already together. This was a second tour we did with John, and he's very knowledgeable and does a lot of little things that made then trip special (ie taking a picture of us together on the train ride, giving us a map of Ireland that we all signed). I felt awful for him because while he sat and waited for us to return from the bus trip, his wallet was stolen. But he still made sure we were all ok and helped us go to a store after the tour…”

“Our driver, Michael, was courteous and VERY skilled at driving a big, comfortable, well equipped bus. Our guide, Richie, was very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. It would have been helpful to know that the garden/grounds around Blarney Castle was very large. Our group of seniors would have done less exploring, and more bench sitting. “Each day's venue was different and exciting, the country-side was breathtaking, the guides were all excellent, knowledgeable, friendly & very helpful, and our B&B owner was great. Killarney is a nice town to visit. Be prepared for the high cost of food & beverage. Otherwise this is a fabulous trip which covers many beautiful vistas in a short period of time.”

“Covered a great deal of Ireland with knowledgeable guides. The bus drivers and tour guides were very good as a whole. Railtours Ireland is run by a number of well meaning 70 and 80 year old retired gentleman who need to retire themselves or bring in some younger and female guides. They need to watch their hopefully unintentional sexist and racist comments. This is not a first class tour company as their motto says. As opposed to first class rail and bus tours we were continually shepherded onto buses with 50 or 60 people who were on other tours. The majority of travel is on large buses not trains. The…”
